Wouldn't work. You need running lights that get brighter when you hit the brakes. The easiest way to do that would be to use one of the numerous LED lights that you see on tractor trailers nowadays. Take your stock tails apart, mount the trailer light in there and wire to a stock light bulb base for easy plug in. Or you could get some Lumined LEDs & resistors and solder up your own.
