You also make no mention of how often you change the oil. I'm over 120k miles in the Echo, and with all of the track days and my driving style in general, I'll definitely put the best quality filter. Keeping the oil clean is huge. When I change my synthetic oil every 2 track days or 5k miles, it's usually black or close to it... would a cheap Fram filter with 1/2-3/4 of the amount of media of a Wix/Mobil1/K&N do as good a job filter? Maybe.
