I'm sorry but if you need to look at a light to tell you when to change gear then you really shouldn't be driving a manual transmission.
The correct rev/min at which to change gear varies with conditions and circumstances. You shouldn't even have to rely on a tachometer either, ears are the best indicator. We seemed to manage quite well years ago even before the advent of rev. counters. |
