EGR blanking plate: does it work?
Hi guys, I have read in some other car forums that excluding the EGR with a blanking plate will improve low end response and keep the engine cleaner.
Is this true? Can I do this on the Yaris? My model is a 1.33 petrol with 100 hp (the same 1NR-FE engine used on the Scion IQ, just with more hp), where should I place the plate to make things work? These are some pictures of my engine, the first is showing the exhaust manifold where the EGR inlet is (25628B), the second is showing where the EGR is attached to the intake manifold (25627C). Should I put the plate on the inlet side or the other one? Thanks in advance
