2007 hatch front passenger ball joint

Back in 2015 I replaced the front passenger lower control arm for my brother in law on the yaris I now own. It was a bear to get the front LCA bolt out to swap it. Is it possible to replace just the ball joint? I went to get an alignment and that ball joint is shot so they won't do the alignment. I see moog makes a ball joint (pn k500118). Just curious if anyone has successfully replaced just the ball joint.

If it's not an original LCA, then I'd advise against just changing the ball joint. Besides, you will have to remove the control arm to knock the ball joint out anyways.
