New car smell is bad for you
Anybody heard of this before? This is certainly news to me:
That "new car smell" can be hazardous to your health, The Ecology Center, a Berkeley, Calif., environmental group said. The Ecology Center said toxic chemicals such as bromine, chlorine and lead found in cars' interiors give off harmful fumes for three years, the Chicago Tribune reported. http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/55237.html The site HealthyCar.org rates the Yaris a 3.4 / 5.0 score, which is apparently quite high. And I thought the new car smell was something that you'd like to keep in your car! Here are a couple of more links for those interested in learning more about this health issue:So remember kids: If you wanna inhale, do it the smart(er) way... |
