Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I tried for ages with my 1/4" ratchet set, I could see them but couldn't get an angle to get the socket over the bolt/nuts, even with the universal joint attachment.

In the end I just cleaned up the crack and stuck a load of epoxy over it.

Once this fails I will try again, even if I manage to get them off with a thinner set I can see it being impossible to get them back on.

It is good to know that it can be done though.
