Toyota 2ZR-FE Engine and C50 Manual Transaxle Swap into the NCP91 Yaris
I was about to start my own swap, so i started to write a how-to document for myself to synthesize all the research this forum has collected over the years into a single place.
After about a month of work, i realized i should give it back to the community who collected it. Working from the threads here plus the Toyota XP90 factory manual, I put together a full workbook: *Toyota 2ZR-FE Engine and C50 Manual Transaxle Swap into the NCP91 Yaris* Installation and Instruction Conversion procedure for a 2ZR-FE and 5-speed manual transaxle into an automatic NCP91/XP90 Yaris, from a Scion xD donor https://type-ra.org/kb/toyota-2zr-fe...to-ncp91-yaris Specific thanks to ArmstrongRacing for the original guide, rpster for the auto-to-manual build and for making his parts tracker and checklist public — that's the backbone of the parts list — CrankyOldMan for the part numbers, brushforhire for tools and procedure, myfirstyota for the 4-lug finding and the speed-sensor cap trick, tmontague for diagnosing the axle bind and finding the Tercel fix, CTScott for explaining the immobiliser architecture, and 06YarisRS, froger and Jeff Lange for corrections and part numbers throughout. I'd love to get feedback on it https://type-ra.org/kb/toyota-2zr-fe...to-ncp91-yaris |
