yaris owners, I need your input

Good luck finding ANY 5-sp Hatchback with Power Package in the US.

there are like 10 of them - literally!

1. Bayou Blue will no longer be offer in 2008, so you better get one if you see one now.

2. You may have to end up special ordering that manual with 5-sp. I did IN MARCH - and was told this week to wait another TWO MONTHS!!

my tanking acura just decided it like to run on three cylinders this week - 230,000 miles and not many more before the thing craters.

had I known in March that I could not go to the lot - slap down 15k in cash and drive away with a 5-sp with power package - but instead order such a SIMPLE package and WAIT over half a year, I would have told Toyota to go f^&k themselves!

now I stuck with a tanking car and have already sunk 200 bucks only a couple weeks ago to keep the old girl rolling along.

I will NEVER buy another Toyota again - their marketing of the Yaris SUCKS, their promotion of the car is non-existant, the options offered in the US is NILL (while the options EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD is out the arse).

this is simply TOO MUCH to put up with IMO.

1.It's a color! Buy what you like.

2. It is due to his location. Sucks but it's true. You obviously can get a manual...you drove one. To boot there is one sitting at my local dealership with the power package.

Now that said if you are going to be picky about what options and color you could be in for a long wait. This is in no way reflective of the overall quality of the manufacturer or it's products.
I'm in love with my car and I too wish there were more thing to play with as far as accessories. There will be more as time passes, this car is still so new on the American market, just need to be patient.

I have one! I guess I'm one of the lucky 10! w00t. Its in Polar White. I was really hoping for Red or blue, but I still love it. I had a white '89 toyota tercel before so this is probably the best car ever compared to that thing.
