There's no chip in the key whatsoever if you bought your yaris (any model) in north america.
it's just as simple as that. although, there's an option that can be installed at the dealer.. it's a KEY RECOGNIZER.. so as long as it's a key that starts the car.. it will start.. ie, you can't hot wire your car if your key is broken or something... :) i hope you guys don't doubt me, and tell me that some guy or other guy said that blah blah :P |
