Got them without the nipple, no clips. I'll put one on my gf's prius next month.
Just changed my oil in the Yaris, so I'll have to wait 2 months. Thinking of going with synthetic on the next oil change so I can go 4 or 5 months between changes. Too much driving, but at least it's a fun car. |

Im going to inquire about a GB if anyone is still interested.
Other forums have done it in the past with them, so I dont see this being a problem, IF people are actually interested when it comes time to pay up. |

Yeah I saw one at Wal-mart for about $8 too, and they sell one at my AutoZone for about $6.

I got one of those fram things on my 96 taco.It works pretty good but is real slow to drain.I put it on there because I stripped the threads out on the oil pan went up to the next size.

I used a Fumoto on my kids crotch rocket. It has been there for a couple of seasons and it shows no signs of leaks or anything.
He uses synthetic oil and it drains out pretty fast but we make sure the engine is hot before changing the oil. I wanted to use it because the oil drain is directly in front of the rear tire. If you don't tighten it enough, you run the risk of it vibrating loose and possibly coming out. Not good to have oil dumping in front of your rear wheel on a bike. If you over tighten the drain plug, you can damage the oil pan. The stock drain plug is made of steel and the oil pan including threads are made of aluminum. I installed it to lesson the risk of damaging the oil pan but it does make it a lot easier to change the oil. The easier part is a bonus. Because I change my own oil, I may put one on the Yaris.. Till reading this thread, I never thought about it much. |
