Yuck. That's no good for Georgia. At least in Ohio it's almost always cold, so we're halfway used to it. Just not this cold usually.

Ah yeah. Forgot about that.

I guess me and Charles are meeting up tonight to get some grub. Should be cool.

Hopefully he doesn't beat me up for those Prince pictures haha.

Anyone else in cold weather having problems with the clutch pedal sticking? I keep having to wait a few seconds before I give to gas to go because it is staying on the floor and just free revs. The pedal seems really stiff when I'm pushing it to the floor.

I was just going to post about this! I didn't notice it yesterday but today was HORRIBLE. I almost thought something was wrong with it. Maybe gid was right, we need to switch to synthetic gear oil and it would take care of that?

Not sure, but I'm garageless for the winter. So I guess I'll have to deal with it.

I've emailed two dealers with WRX's so far, hoping for the best. I honestly HATE this car now just because of how it drives in the snow.

I was wondering what it was like to have to drive one in the snow. My tires are not even rated for weather below 32f degrees.

Mornin' all.

Ryan, I've been a little sick the past few days but today I feel a little more sick. I don't wanna get you sick too. Lets just do this sometime next week, when it isn't -10 degrees LOLWTF.

I don't mind driving in the snow with it. I actually think it handles really well for such a small, light car.

But that clutch thing was strange. But I guess we have to expect things like that with windchills better than -40....

SIPNGAS and RYANK the clutch uses brake fluid ...

which is shared with the brake fluid ( same resorvoir ) . I believe it's DOT 3 . Changing to a synthetic brake fluid ( DOT 4 , Valvoline syn. B.F. , etc. ) could help that situation much like synthetic gear oil for better cold shifting . TAKE CARE .

I called Jiffy Lube, the one I go to for my oil changes and they don't stock the synthetic gear oil the Yaris needs. (at least that's what the guy said..) So, later, I'm going to call the dealership and ask about switching to the synthetic brake and gear oils...Toyota won't void my warranty by switching? Not sure why they would, but just thought I would ask!

go to or call NAPA and other auto parts stores for AMSOIL MTG , REDLINE MT-90 , etc.. You'll need 2 quarts of gear oil , I'm sure dealer would install it for less than $50 . Remember to use a GL-4 gear oil . GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just leave it alone and pry the clutch pedal up with my foot some more.

I only noticed it today, and it was about -27 degrees, so hopefully that won't linger around much longer.
