they are not standard 2 prong 5mm LED's they are a 4 prong. I was going to change mine from white to blue, and noticed they were the 4 prong type mounted on a small PCB. So you will have to de-solder the led and re-solder new one and a resistor inline with it. you can just throw away the wires that came off the old leds seeing as you will have a resistor inline with the new leds

Can you post a picture of what they look like? Most of the Super Flux type LEDs are in a 4 pin package.
