When the Z4 in the parking lot looks "too long!"
When you consider parking head-in, even though the spaces are parallel. When you seriously consider taking your Yaris to the autoX in the back of a full-size pickup instead of trailering. (No it won't fit, but I admit to thinking about it.) When you reasoned that if a motorcycle can ride in the HOV lane with only the driver, the Yaris should be able to also. When you get better MPG's than a Harley. |

Um, no it doesn't. Not even close.
I just got 42.2 from my Yaris on the second tank, which I'm very happy with. I'm elated in fact! But the 1200cc 94 sportster gets around 60mpg consistantly, and it moves you there so much faster doing it. If I ride it hard, I can get it down to 50 a tank pretty easy. I've never really got on it enough for long enough to take it down below 45 average on those 2 gallons. |

My Yaris sedan gets better mileage than I normally got with either my 1963 Panhead FL or my 1985 FLTC, both Big Twin dressers. When very attentive to mileage and keeping the speed down to 55 MPH on long highway rides I could just crack 50 MPG on the '85 Evo. The Pan would get in the low 40s under similar conditions. 65-70 MPH would drop the Evo to the low 40s-high 30s, and the Pan to mid 30s. Neither would get out of the 30s with my normal riding, happily twisting the throttle a lot and grooving on the stereo music from the tailpipes.

Big twin bleh ;) I like my little 1200 Sportster just fine.
When I ever get tired of Little Blue, I'll replace him with a Buell XB12. |
