Yep..it's called Thunder Snow...and it's as bad as a snowstorm can get. There's even been cloud to ground lightning strikes. It means the snow is falling at a rate of 1-2 inches an hour.

If my employer cared how we were getting there, let alone getting home, they would close like 90% of the other businesses in the area. But we're expected to be there. It should keep snowing until at least 3, but it could be longer because we get a lot of "lake effect" snow because of being on Lake Michigan's shore line. I promise to be as safe as I possibly can. Last year we had a storm that dumped 18 inches while we were sitting at work and I drove home in that. It's just right now visibility is next to nothing.
