Sometimes the car sits in the yard for a fair amount of time. I guess you can try to feel the paint and tell if it is soft or not. If not, do the clay-polish-wax treatment. Or else, if ur dealer was a good bloke, he wouldve done all this for you. In that case, dont worry about a wax now.

A lot of ppl would debate on this point or waxing on the first month, I did mine in the second month and it hasnt affected anything (on the contrary, my car feels SILKY SMOOTH !!!)
