i do plan on autocrossing this car as well as taking it on a few road courses. maybe a pan to hold an extra quart would be sufficient? would cooling fins on the pan work to keep the temps down as well?

Adding some extra oil could be a good idea. Really you need someone with their oil pan off to see how much extra you can actually put in. Someone like Garm who has their engine out already :)

It is kind of a mystery as to how much to add. As a guess I would say 1 quart would be too much. That is over 25% of the total capacity.
I have no data to make a concrete statement though.

Again, I'm not sure on how hot the oil runs in this car. I don't have a gauge in mine. I'm sure a finned pan would help a bit.
