you get condensation in oil from hot engine cooling in cold weather and collects in pan . Thus , oil looses some performance .

On yet another subject, mr GID, I thought that the piston blowby water vapour condensed into the cold oil. If the oil was above boiling for a goodly period, all the H-O-H will have evapourated off and suctioned by the PCV sytem. Now, there would be none left to condense onto cold metal.
