haha.

I saw a set of 18x8 +40mm's on Tire rack with a 215/35/18, if Tire Rack lists it that means alot.

I'm curious if they screwed that up though.

some 15x8s would be pretty nice.

although i have a feeling they'd still poke.

I should just stick to my original plan of 16x7 +38mm front +28mm rear.

gotta find an xA owner who needs 15x9s and convince him to buy new wheels.....

You could do 8s easily in the back, maybe 9s with the perfect offset.
Anything more than 7.5 in the front will poke in the front.

My 16X7+40s are flush in the front

no way

a 235 is the smallest width that will fit on an 8" rim. not even close. i have 275/40/17 on my camaros.

u'll be lookin like the old school mexican's cars with the reverse offset rims on the small cars like hondas n mustangs....from the early 90's. and really....i think a 6" width would be more than enough to set the tire edge even wit the fender....which will still be legal for street.

No that is not the smallest for a 235. It will look OK. You can run a 235/40 on a 9 in wheel with no problem, and it is within the manufacturers recommended limits. A 215 on an 8 is ok as well, just at the small end of the spectrum.

Our 15x7 +35mm fronts sit nice and flush with a 205/55/15.

we're running 10mm hub spacers in the rear and it's really flush, but we have a large amount of inboard room.

if we did a wider wheel I know we'd need to do a shorter tire.

I guess I need to really just take some more measurements, I'd rather not run a wider wheel in the rear just for looks.

I need to host the new snapshots we got with the Tamago Hub Spacers on.

just curious what the other Yaris guys thought, thanks Orange.

I'm not worried about the tire.

when you "smallest width" where are you getting your info?
