From looking at the Yaris beam, this can be easily made to fit, and I'll be looking into it soon. I also realize that it's important to keep some of the "flex" in the beam since it does help with steering and direction, but with the soft rubber bushes in the leading arm joints and the angle they meet up at, I'm sure a little stiffening can only help!
I'll see if I can find some pictures of the bar installed on VW's for reference.

right on nice to see someone doing something to make these things actually handle better
i've been trying to see if i can adapt a scion xA/xB rear sway bar since they hare basically the same supesnion setup, but first i got to find someone to let me look at there undercarriage
