Granted none of these things are huge problems, and if I wanted to sell it or trade it in (as everyone so helpfully suggests), obviously I'd do that. If that times comes, I will...

But these things "disappoint" me in a Toyota; I've always been a Japanese car fan and only very reluctant ventured into Nissan and Suzuki territory in the past -- not disappointed with either of these, by the way -- because I was so pro-Toyota. So the overall cheap feel and these nagging little imperfections are just a constant irritation.

Like a dripping faucet; you're not going to put the house on the market or even necessarily pay a plumber $100 to come fix it, but it still grates on your nerves.

...drip...drip...drip...

suzuki swifts came with gold plated interiors, inlaid with rubies and ivory taken from the tusks of left-footed indo-chinese baby elephants.. they also used virgin-pubes weaved ever so tightly for the apholstry

after going from THAT to boring old un-supportive Yaris seats and Plastic interior, i understand FULLY where otterhere is coming from

Don't be disappointed. The car is marketed as Toyota's BUDGET / entry-level car. It is what it is.

In the US, the reviews I've seen tend to be negative, but in Europe, where practically every car on the road is small enough to fit in your pocket, it's quite the competitive car.
