I know, but where I am: population is 10,000. 25% poverty rate. 10.5% unemployment. Average income is $24,000. Just not a good place to be. (this was all taken BEFORE the 'crisis' we're in now, too.)

Living in DC, I can't even fathom what that would be like. I'm too used to the city.

I actually commute to that city. I live in a city (that isn't much better) but the population is about 22,000.

Trying to move to a larger city as we speak, but as everyone knows, hard to find a job.
