Maintenance Light Comes on?

If you had it serviced (oil change) at 4,000 miles, than the light will come on at 9,000 miles. It comes on at 5,000 intervals (it actually appears at 4,500-4,999 upon start-up then disappears but stays on after 5,000).

And remember, this light is specifically an oil change reminder light and doesn't indicate any other needed service. Consult your manual for other service intervals.

WRONG, light comes on at 5,000 mile incriments no matter what mileage oil was changed at. 5k 10k 15k,etc.....

Hmmmm....coulda sworn mine comes on like previously posted, if I reset it at 43,000 sure seemed like it reapeared 4,500-5,000 later

Ya.. mine turns on depending on when I changed it last, not on specific preset increments.. it has never come on at an multiple of 100, 1000, or 5000. So whatever mileage you reset it at plus 4500 is when it starts flashing, and then plus 5000 is when it stays on.
