I'd say the safest threshhold for the thickness of swaybar for Yaris is 19mm. If you go anywhere beyond that, the axle may not be able to withstand the G, while the 19mm+ swaybar can. In other words, you need an additional support and this is where the lower tie bar comes in. If you are planning to rock 23mm swaybar and participate in events such as auto-x frequently, I strongly recommend you to invest in tie bar support. The worst possible result you may end up with from 23mm swaybar + no tie bar support setup may be, SNAP, BREAK, FLIP, and CRASH
