Don't fotget this is an inline 4, which is inherantly unbalanced. A compromise is made as far as the harmonics are concerned to make the engine as smooth as possible at cruise rpm, while transiant harmonics are mitigated as much as possible through component weights (i.e. a heavy crank will have resonant frequencies than a lighter one).
Also, the stock crank pully is heavy for a reason. When I installed the 10% underdrive pulley I noticed an overall increase in vibrations, but everything smooth's out above 2K rpms. |
