My new mods

i bought the exact springs you have(and a matching tanabe front strut tower). your experience is one of the reasons i have been looking for a professional shop to do the work! i'm not as handy as i thought i was(it took me all afternoon just to change the oil myself(i couldn't get that damn filter off!). i too ended up taking the skin off one hand just doing that! also, i don't have all the tools necessary for install(what's that special wrench you say i'll need for the top strut bolt?). i'll be running the 'ghetto' look too once i get the drop accomplished - can't afford wheels/tires right now(especially since the wife keeps saying 'there's still lots of tread on the ones you already have!'). your car looks great and you've picked some very good mods to do first! once i get the springs and strut bar on maybe we can do an indy-meet(i'm out by the airport)? i know there's a couple others on the forum in the general area too!

Hey it's good to meet a fellow hoosier yaris fan! I learned my lesson when it comes to working on the front shocks/springs you have to take off the tray with the windshield wipers above the engine to get to the nuts. it's still a total bitch to get them loose (might be easier on an older car... ) takes a lot of liquid wrench lube to get going... It sounds like you're not too far from me, If you need help doing it, I might be able to help you out (I think I still have all the tools). So much more satisfying and cheaper to do it yourself. beyond that, an indy meet would be awesome...
