Jane's fighting Ships 1943-44 lists 5 in that class. Yamato, Musasi, Tosa, Aki and Satuma.
The Yamato was sunk Apr 7, 1945 in action with the 3rd US Navy (according to the guy that first owned the book and recorded known "kills" in it), and it was thought that the last two (Aki and Satuma) were never completed. In a wartime edition, info on the enemy's ships is scarce unless they were sunk...

I had read a while back that two were completed as battleships, one was a carrier and a fourth one was scrapped. Don't recall it's name, I think it was just a work order or alike.

However Jane's knows more than I do but it makes sense that there was not reliable information.

As I recall work on the Yamato was completed behind screens to protect the site from spies. The Japanese were violating a treaty after all, that limited the tonnage of their capital ships.

As I said, my copy is 43-44, so the later editions probably had more info. It is nice t osee this one, though, as it has all the owner's notes as to when and where which ship was sunk, and by what method.
