Your argument does not support your idea. da Vinci created his own works. Bolting on other people's inventions is the equivalent of paying a bum to sketch things out, and having shops install things for you or having a body shop do things for you is the equivalent of paying a bum to both sketch things out and paint it for you; all you did was possibly gather some of the supplies.

The simple cosmetic things that some folks do require very little skill, if any, and are the creative equivalent of wrapping a gift.

Let's not embellish things.

Ha. Ouch. I see both your points though. I have to agree that my first modded car, which was just a nice car with random expensive upgrades installed by professionals got me nowhere near the praise I've received for my Yaris, which I have been far more subtle with and did the work myself.

i have and will continue to mod my yaris. for speed and a custom look. don't see what's wrong with that. sorry i don't have the desire to drive like an old woman. and sorry i don't want everything on my car to be stock looking.

to me the stock yaris has enough power, yes, but why not make a hobby out of trying to make it faster. some of us actually like learning about and working on cars. why can't that car be the yaris? one could argue that no matter what car you are modding there is always going to be another one that's faster.

and btw i don't know that i've ever broke a sweat and bled while wrapping a gift.

Nor have I ever looked at a wrapped gift with real pride for a job well done. :)

I see your point, but lighten up man. Sorry if that REALLY bothered anyone.
