that probably depends on who you ask. If you want to get super technical, then yeah, it probably has a MINOR influence on how the car drives. In reality, it is probably so small, you cant detect it. The reason i have seen offset wheels on a FWD car was to run a WIDER front tire usually (like a 205 or 225 Front, and a 195 Rear tire; in fact the very first type R's ran this set up alot in Japan.) So you can do that, and make up for it in spring rate, damper settings, so on.

So why did i do? Because i am a cheap bastard. I got the wheels from a friend for free (i'm actually still "borrowing" them.) They are super light for stock wheels, and they look factory, like it is a Yaris-R model or something, and i like that.

The tire size is the same on the front and rear, and so the influence that wheel width has on handling is gone. So it will drive the exact same if i had the same size around or not. So basically, i am running two sizes for no other reason than that these wheels were free to me. You can't even tell by driving it, or looking at it. These are great wheels, i have thought about finding another set actually. I was going to use the wider ones for track tires (15x6.5), and the smaller ones (15x6) for street tires.

keep an eye out for the 16's ! remember in 2003 toyota went to a 16X6.5 iirc for the rear

i think they would look really good for a street wheel. they weigh so little too!

2nd gen spyders have the 15/16 stagger

and for the record they do fit staggered on a yaris with 205/40

pics? they look great on my car, curious to see them. i think the way to go is get two sets, and split them for duty, track/street with some bolt on spacers.

I think they would look really good for a street wheel. There weight so little too!
