The orange was only available in Canada, and I think for a short time. It's Copper Orange Mica I believe.

i wish we got the jolt yellow up here....or the carmine red i see plenty of all colours of yaris up here (lots and lots of 5drs) so its hard to say whether there's actually a rare colour, other than orange (which, btw, is not that impressive looking in real-life) would have been nice to get some of the updated colours north of the border to freshen up the yaris line a bit...

PreciousPups4U - thank you...this was the only yellow car between two Toyota dealers. I suppose that does make it unique - although I was hoping to fly under the radar with black. I am surprised they don't make the Yaris available in Speedway Blue (Tacos come in this hue) - these cars would look quite comely in that color! The Road Runner is my never-ending project car and I've owned it since I was 21. It's a Sunfire Yellow 4-speed convertible with a black top and black interior. I've been a Mopar fanatic since I was a teenager (I am speaking of classic stuff here, not Neons and Calibers). Suffice to say, it's mileage is a bit lower than the Yaris' . But, it's a bit faster.

Okay, I snapped a pic this morning before driving to work. I apologize in advance for the bug splatter showing on the front bumper.

And it matches the license plate perfectly. That was the plan, right?

Welcome! I've got 2 Yarii, an '07 auto (meteorite metallic) and an '09 manual (carmine red metallic). Even with my modifications and normal driving style I can pull 35mpg without trying in the auto, and over 40mpg in the manual (which is stock). If you'd be interested I have some yellow yarisworld.com vinyl decals (or other colors) available.
On a side note, the stupid dealer where I got my '09 from just screwed the front plate to the car, they didn't bother using the adapter, so now it points up at an angle

Perhaps some slightly larger screws along with the bracket could be used to correct the angle situation? I see you have a '71 Galaxie - my first car was almost a '70 XL convertible with the 390-4bbl. Cool car with hidden headlights and plenty of bottom end torque. Alas, my father didn't like the Louisiana inspection sticker or the pond-scum line around the bottom of the car! Arrrgh!

Just send me a PM. It's $7/set, or $3.75/ea. I made a few for another jolt yellow member, but they seemed to have vanished.
The '71 Galaxie was my Mom's car, and I got it for Christmas when I was 15. Originally it had a 351 Windsor V8 2bbl but that died after 215k miles. It's been in storage the past few years, and it now has a 351M/400 with only 40k miles on it now. Next will be body work, then interior work. Just wish I had the funds to really fix it up. |
