ok first off, to everyone who is complaining about the routes, are you going into the navigation settings AND/OR route preferences/avoidences?????
that will help dramatically. second Garmins are good except for there new scheme of d/l maps either once or forever...... thirdly, Garm, get the Garmin Nuvi 205 or Nuvi 200 (first is the more updated model of the 200) it has pedestrian mode where you can take it hiking/off road don't know if it knows trails and such though. <<<I know it's a few months late but still :D |

I think I was the only one complaining. No, I have not modified the default navigation settings. I will try that for tomorrow morning's drive.

I took the GPS out today and it performed fairly well. Fiddling with the navigation settings let me turn off the expressway, toll roads, and other annoying routes. It still has trouble finding satellites. That's my only qualm at this point.
