The filter on those things are crap. When I was running one of their intakes I used a Fujita dry filter.

As far as heat soak, I didn't encounter any problems. The intake air tems would go up at stop lights, but would then drop down to ambiant as soon as I got going again.

hey buddy

yeah , i saw on the older Dragon intakes , the filters seem pretty "fragile" , but im gonna be gettting the secret weapon filter , which is said to be alot better.

ok cool , good thing bout the air temps , cause i know even the standard OEM airbox setup gets quite warm.
