As Mad Dog has said, they are available in Australia. Many of you guys forget that our econo box Yaris here in North America is an almost mid level car for the European market whom loves smaller cars with more utility (4door hatch).
So it is perfectly fine for the OP who is from Malta to expect heated mirrors and other amenities which we think are more suited for upper level cars.

it's a worse case (or better depending on the way you look at it) with southeast asian countries. you should see their vios and corollas over there and what they go for in US dollars. but now i'm just adding to the fire. to the op: yes the yaris is likely available with heated mirrors in other markets. i'm not sure about malta, but you're sure to find them available as a packaged extra in the aussie market like some others have said.
