During the first year I got the bike I put on almost 20K miles. :D I believe the tires were new in that pic. I tend to go through tires pretty quickly...

Within the past year or two I have used it mostly for commuting to school (60+ mile round trip 3 or 4 times a week).

The sparks are actually from my boot - I have titanium toe sliders on them and well, they make pretty sparks. lol

I've done a handful of track days but since my health insurance was cut off (thanks dad) I haven't done any since my last track day didn't go too well.... I lowsided around a right turn going about 80+. I forgot to check my front tire for wear during the lunch break at the track day and I pushed it too much.
Needless to say, I'm going to wait until I'm fully covered again before I do another track day.

Damn, I do 75 miles round-trip to my college in my Yaris, but on a bike?!! Tiring!.. Your s/n describes you pretty damn good
That's nice....expensive too :(
You're not alone, I'm running on no health insurance since the start of 2008..lol

Besides the Toyota Yaris, I have a a 2002 Dodge Neon. It has been a pretty good car. It has about 115,000 miles and still runs pretty good.

Prior to the Dodge Neon, I had two other Dodges. They were great cars. The Dodges were daily drivers while the Toyota MR2 was more a useful toy.

Because of the way the Chrysler bankruptcy was handled (the bondholders were screwed out of their rightful equity), I would never buy another Chrysler (or GM) car.

The bike made it well worth while since a lot of my classes started/ended around major southern California rush hour. I was able to be in the carpool lane and split lanes when I needed to. That, and parking was so much easier with my bike on campus!!! (and cheaper!)

I figured I could allow myself 30min traveling time to get to CSULB (and park right in front of the building my classes were in) vs. an hour to hour and a half in my car (traffic + hunting for a parking spot + hiking across campus to my classes).

Just be careful going in-and-out of lanes :)
30 mins huh, speed demon lol
I might take up on commuting by bike to college next year, if they end up putting more parking spots for bikes...they are always full and can't park next to the buildings here

Nice supra pennyracer..
Didn't take any pics of my old ride, but it looked something like this -
Had some sort of transmission problem, stupid automatic....speed kept decreasing on grape vine to Los Angeles...~
