The bank that I've got my credit card through sent me a letter earlier this year stating that my account info was amongst a huge group that had been on a computer that was stolen from their offices and that they were sending me a new card.
 I was quite pissed that they were the ones who lost it but I received the replacement card a couple days afterwards so it wasn't too big of a problem
