Based on some recent postings, it looks like the the only method (for now) to correct the mileage on the cluster is to have the dealer do it via the TIS Techstream tool.

Today I went to the dealer to see what else I can do and they said that they can't repair the cluster and the only option is buy a new one so what else I can do?

Was at my local dealer on Saturday, they informed me that "tampering with the ODO is illegal," and that they cannot under any circumstances chage it.

He is not trying to change it. The screen is blank and he doesn't want it to be blank. At this point he can't even tell how much gas is in the car. He just wants the screen to display the time, gas level and the correct miles of the car.
