True on that point, but the Yaris coming from Japan is a real beneficial to the owner of the car. Some of the Toyota's when they started to assemble here and manufacture some parts tended to have some problems. The previous models or successors to these Toyota vehicles did not. The new Tundra has had a few recalls and its predecessor the T100 () did not have much or at all.... And the new Tacoma has had a recall or two, compared to the indestructible 96 Tacoma and the Toyota pickups 79-95...

EDIT: Since August 2008, I'm seeing a lot of Yaris on the roads now....kind of makes me sad now that its becoming common :(
I bought it to stand out, but whatev~
