Sorry, I missed this post. Yes, it's the automatic transmission that couldn't handle sudden power (in SPORTS 7 mode) while reversing. Think it this way, no one would floor their gas while going backwards, right? That's the reason why we have "reverse cancel" wire in our NTD Throttle Controller kit. Panson |

Panson - you claim you're company manufactures these units? I'm interested in one, but your suggestion that yours are somehow different from all the other identical-looking units is a bit surprising. Got any documentation for this?
Kustom play - why are you posting on this thread if you clearly are not interested, and never were? |

Sir, I don't have documentation at hand, but I can assure u all the components we use are from name brand suppliers. For instance the bypass switch are from Fujitsu, and IC units are from TSMC We are from manufacturer side and trying to promote our business by reaching out to base customers instead of cutting prices by using cheap parts from nowhere. Frankly, we are still testing market right now. If things are not working out, we might as well go back to be a contracted manufacturer for these Japanese companies. I am a sales Rep. I work for the manufacturer. So I think I should use "we"..?? For the product, technically, Yes, they all function the same. However, what I would like to emphasize is that my company only uses the best quality components compared to other competitors. Panson |

@twpanson: I see your throttle controller hooks up to the OBDII port. Is there a version that can hook up directly to the gas pedal? I am using the OBDII port for my CarPC. Thanks.

Sorry, Sir. Our device has to be connected through 2 ports in order to get it work. Let me ask our technician to see if there is anything we can do. Panson |

What I would like to see is a device that would allow me to throttle back while on cruise and allow me to keep the same MPH.

Not criticizing your wording or grammar, just wondering who you were representing. Who is the actual manufacturer of this controller?

Ok, install has been completed, and I am currently writing up the whole DIY and review at this point, grabbing pics off my camera, and having to upload a video from my phone.
I do believe you guys are only using the OBD to draw power to the device, possibly not to actually use it to control anything from what I can tell...It may be possible to actually hardwire the device to another functioning device rather than draw power from the OBD. Of course I did not design the unit, I only have installed and had the chance to play with it and debunk some of my own problems very easily.

My bad. Just trying to let more people know the benefits of T/C. This is a device more like a remote entry or remote control. You can actually do all the change on you TV w/ o a remote control. But it is flexible and easy to have a remote. This is what I would like to express.
For the automatic transmission, I think we are all right. The reverse cancel function is there to turn the mode back to normal while you shift reverse. My example is the opposite one for users to understand that they never want to use SP7 while going backwards. If you search Lexus forum and you would see people complaining about problems w/ their transmission owning to not install the reverse cancel wire. I'm curious, what is twptrade.com? -- there's no website.

Sir, we are still working on the website. The biggest difference between us and other vendors is that we are directly from manufacturer. We act as a sourcing portal and order directly from manufacturer w/o middleman. That way, we get better price and good quality at the same time. That's why we use twptrade as our domain instead of xxxracing or xxxspeed.
Thanks Panson |
