wish we coudl take off the front plates in IL :(

Lets get some more IL yaris folks in here - that way we can have more for the meet :)

I drove around for 3 years with no front plate on my Escort. I was going to tell them not to screw the plate into the bumper but it was too late since they do that when they first get the car. Now that there are ugly holes I figured I might as well put it on.

I already decided that my first mod is going to be power locks and keyless entry.
Using the key is for the birds. I guess I'm going to have to order a universal 4 door setup so I can do the hatch as well.

Took the Yaris out on the tollway today and it performed quite admirably. Had no problem settling in at 75mph. It tracked straight and handled some heavy gusts of wind. I had hoped to take my favorite off ramps at speed, but it was very cold and we had a bit of freezing rain.

we are stuck with front plates here in ohio as well.... how many 2 plate states are there anyway?

OR and WA definitely are - think CA is too, but I managed to keep a front plate off of my '74 Alfa Spider when we lived there (like 18 yrs).
