It seems to me a lot of these new traction control systems with no button have the same problem. It really is too bad that all new cars have to have traction control by 2011. Another example of the government getting in our business 'for our own good'.

Now people that know how to drive will get rear-ended so that people that can't drive can have a smaller chance of going of the road for no reason.

I know trac will be useful on a normal drive when there is ice under snow, or
a greasy road I don't expect to be so greasy...but it is a pain in the junk when you just wanna get up a hill you see... and can readily say Yah, I know it is slippery so give it some gas and get up that thing !

anyhow my goal is max 5 seconds to revert to trac-off mode...[probably impossible]... and I have it at 11 seconds now.
stop-park-off-start-<procedure>-drive off. I wanna build a circuit that taps my brake
and ebrake wire, so I can flip a switch and the sequence is done in microseconds.

am I missing something? I thought traction controll basically only helped a car from spinning the tires when accelerating... why would the government want that installed oem? Should'nt the GOV care about stability control instead? Or are both lumped together?

They have lumped them together, so thank and SUV driver that feels the need to suddenly veer right when they get a flat tire.
