I have the factory option armrest. It's held up well. It's great if you have an auto, but would probably get in the way if you drive stick. Also, the cloth material cover is like Scion material, it does'nt have the polka dots. It also flips up, but I hav'nt figured out why since it can't hold anything anyways.

i have the factory armrest while nice on long trips its usually flipped up and out of the way because it gets in the way when your shifting :( as for stability its not going anywhere its very solid.
