As Malta is part of EU, I'm afraid simple xenon replacement bulbs to regular halogen lights are illegal. They essentially mess up the light pattern as xenon bulbs cast a brighter light of different shape. I've never looked into it in detail, but as I gather, xenons are only legal on vehicles, which have so-called looking-glass lenses (don't know how they actually call them, projectors?) as standard or which have xenon headlights as an OEM option (thus you could just replace the headlights with OEM xenons and add self-levelling and washing mechanisms). Yaris doesn't have either. So the only legal option is to install additional lights (such as Hella Micro DE Xenon), keeping in mind the reference light numbers.
