Rear Window Defogger

I owned a '95 Saturn that also lacked a timer- inexcusable in my opinion.

I suspect it doesn't draw as much current as many do. Coming home in heavy snow yesterday, snow piled up on my back window with the rear defogger running continuously, and the front defroster running wide open with the temperature cranked all the way up. Takes a good while to clear light fogging in mild temperatures.

Why is it such a big deal? I killed my battery for the first time a few weeks ago from listening to my stereo for too long, but I still haven't had problems with the defroster.. My dad's old camry, my brother's old camry, my old corolla, my dad's sienna and tundra don't have defrost timers.

Kinda just seems like something that would piss me off when my back window wasn't defrosted 20 minutes down the road, or something that I would break like in yarissedan's old car.
