this is a Hemi. notice the combustion chamber is sepherical? like a ball?

just becasue the SP is in the middle and at the top does not a hemi make...

...and the engine is way smaller.

Sure it does... All modern hemispherical heads are based on the same theory, the difference is optimal quench area changes the shape from that antiquated "dome" chamber you posted.

this is a hemi from the new dodge hemi engines


this is a pent head design that is typical of all 4 valve per cylinder engines...

there is a difference and this one is not a hemi.

Just because the spark plug sits centered above the combustion chamber does NOT make it a hemi head engine....this is wrong thinking....the hemispherical shape of the head is what makes it a hemi...most car makers make "hemi's" these days....Ford even had one in the '60s....the Hemi has been around since the late 1930's so it is NOTHING new....
