to Yar1s and Doc,
Yes. and yes! I spoke with my mom, who is the co-buyer/signer, and she seems ok with the idea of being in the dealership for another 8 hours.
Now, I know I will be losing money and probably more but I will be much more happy and healthier. and I know I wont regret it!

I want it in Yellow Jolt but my region and dealer does not carry it in yellow! The closest one I can find is in Cincinnati. If I get my dealer to ship one from Cincinnati in the color I' TRULY love on a car, then I will be forever happy! How much do you think shipping will be? If I can't get it shipped, then I'll stick with black.

I won't have kids and I can sacrifice some trunk space, I think I'll be ok with two less doors and less trunk space.

Thank you guys.
More advice and input is welcome,
Aa

dont let the small trunk trick you.... BE SURE TO GET THE 60/40 SPLIT SEATS!!! you WILL regret not getting them. When you slide the seats forward... you can store soda bottles, milk gallons, and beer in the wedge it creates .... this is great seeing as stuff likes to roll around in there!

I dont like the yellow but if that is what floats your boat go for it!

OK... first off, the Hatch has about 3 times as much usable cargo area. For anybody who disagrees, I ask of you, How many pallets have you fit in your sedan? How many bale's of hay, how many full sized mountain bikes, How many entertainment centers & desks?

In my hatch i've carried a
Pier 1 Desk that measured roughly 40x66x24
70lb bale of hay
two pallets at the same time
two full sized mountain bikes (GT + Cannondale)
32" LCD

i am always amazed at how much the sedan can carry once you fold the rear seats down flat.... I don't understand why anybody would want to buy the sedan. The Hatch is like driving around with a tiny truck bed.

It all depends on what you'll be carrying in your car. I agree, the LB is better if you need to bring big crap; however, I carry around people and luggage. So, I needed the rear seats plus a bigger trunk.

I was able to move a good amount of a large master bedroom (nothing big, but lots of boxes and stuff). I've carried a large cooler and some boxes with two additional people. I've fit a ladder, snowboards, etc while having my sub in the back. lol. Don't ask me to carry a bike or a big screen tv tho.

I have an Expedition, 5x8 utility trailer and a 6x12 V-nose enclosed trailer for the good stuff. Well, you asked!

Ive carried a 36 inch lcd in my car before also fit a large mountain bike in the trunk. Did require removing of the wheel though.

I can see it now... The first time somebody says his yellow hatchback looks like a giant twinkie on wheels, he'll take it back to the dealer the next day..

.
I like the LB and the Sedan, I went for the Sedan because I have a kid and when I got mine there was no 5 door LB.
