Suspended jail time is essentially probation. The jail time is placed on hold, but if you incur another offense during the probation they can tack on your previous jail sentence on top of whatever fines or jail time they give you for that current offense.
IIRC anyways. Anywho, OP have you shopped around for insurance? I had Viking Insurance years back because they were the cheapest given my driving history. (Young and dumb ) I've had a few friends use them as well after DUIs and such.

Ah, because you're financing the car?
I had just the legal minimum in California, but it was still significantly cheaper than elsewhere, so it's worth a look! Better than increasing your deductibles anyhow. |
