But the Yaris doesn't need the key to be held to crank. Just turn it and release.

Otherwise, take it to the dealer, it's under warranty and they need to fix it!

I didn't know I could just turn the key and let the engine crank itself, cool!

I had a few more starting issues since posting, and we've had some really nice days weather-wise here too. So I called the dealer and scheduled it for service. Hopefully it's just a small ignition issue and nothing major.

Also, my mileage wasn't as far off of the EPA ratings as I thought. For some reason I kept thinking I was supposed to get 35mpg city and 40 hw. Don't ask me why, heh.
