While looking for a good place to drill into the plug, I just noticed a teeny tiny hole around the output there the factory connector plugs, and was able to route the speaker wire through that hole into the 'hose' that goes into the door.
Even tho I'm a little worried about the cable running against a bare edge of sheet metal in the edge of the plug, it beats the crap out of drilling into my car, plus I'm not planning on hanging anything off of those wires anytime soon, so it should do. Thank you very much for replying! I actually had the drill in my hand when I found out about this. I'll go back to finish my install now. |
