This cant fit because the 1NR-FE has the exhaust header at the front and the intake manifold in the back. Something new has to be developed for this engine.

yep, you're right but it was just an example... I was thinking that was possible to adapt some other "simple" intake, but perhaps it's too complex

anyway I studied the situation again and I was thinking also to leave untouched the original airbox, just (as I did) replace the OEM filter with the K&N (33-2211 model) and removing the original arm...

as you know the original arm seems too thin & above all it doesn't turn close to the floor, so it sucks (almost) warm air

the idea was to remove the OEM arm & installing something like RamII (80mm section) downturing it close to the floor near the right fog lamp

do you have some other ideas??

1. full ZX1 additive treatment: oil + cooler + fuel
2. NB treatment: motor oil
3. K&N panel air filter (part num. 33-2211)
4. Fuchs Silkolene Pro SRG 75 gear oil (the best!)
5. UltraRacing 19mm rear sway bar

Its thin and surprisingly short but you dont have to remove it for intake air temperature issues because there are none. I measured the intake temperature with a Scangauge II. Its warm while you are not driving but as soon as you are moving it sucks cold air.
