you ruined your tire pressure monitor by using fix-a-flat..... NEVER use fix-a-flat

Xs 10000000
working at big O for the past 2 months and ive bet ive put in 100 cuz ppl put fix a flat in the tire.... its crazy but it eats the base of the sensor and destroys the chip inside.

my buddy at toyota told me a while ago when i tried to help a friend she had replaced one and it wouldnt read the new one, so i tried to get it to program with our tool at work. but the only way is to have the toyota read and program the serial number in.

If you don't want to replace the sensor, you can get rid of the light by doing the TPWS bypass:

Wonder if Fix-A-Flat (and similar products) have put a clear warning label on their cans?? Seems like a widespread problem now.

I'm glad I have an '07 which is before law required TPMS's. I know how to check my own pressure.

wow.. surprised there's a law on that..

Shouldn't the fix-a-flat already have those warnings? if not... i smell court case! well... for a 20-50$ repair.. Hmm.. :P

Drive the car 500,000 miles or 20 years (whatever comes first), and hopefully the light bulb will have burnt out.
